Hi friends,
Every once in a while I have to post about something that isn't fun to write about. Today is one of those days. Today my good friend's, The Elbow's, lost their beautiful little dachshund to a horrible accident. Sally suffered an intestinal blockage earlier this week, and when the vet was running tests, she aspirated a significant amount of barium. Sally's blockage resolved, but unfortunately Sally's lungs weren't able to function properly, and Sally passed away late this morning.
She was the happiest dog I have ever met. Ever. On a scale of 1 to 10 she was easily a 27 and 1/2. She was that dog that everyone loved the second that they saw her spotty little cow butt start wagging.
So this is my tribute, to our gal Sal. It is so little for one so great. Sally, you will be missed. In your short time here you have touched so many, so very deeply. I know the otherside of the rainbow bridge is brighter now that you're there and I'm lucky to have you there to greet my furchildren one day. They will have a friend to show them the ropes and help them find the warmest places in the sun.
